Click hereThe night she comes, I knew she would
Silken black tendrils creep from the wood
Shadows lengthen freed from the sun
My calmness breaks my mind screams run
Listening, turning, now I must flee
I see You there calmly watching me
"Going somewhere, Mia Amore?"
My knees give way and I sink to the floor
Your voice once more captures my mind
Teasing it, tormenting it, strengthening the bind
My chest rises and falls, my heart beating so fast
"Relax Mia amore, this time is the last"
"Come to me and let's end this now."
Shaky legs lift me up and I give a slight bow
Your hand strokes my hair, "There is nothing to fear"
Your arms pull me impossibly quite near
A soft cry escapes my lips startled birds take flight
Warm lips kiss my neck then I feel the bite
Liquid fire fills me as my vision goes black
You hold my body tight as I go quite slack
Visions of You and of me show me the way
I am alive so to speak on my very first day
The hunger it hits and I let out a scream
Which awakens me from my odd nights dream
A work that stumbles over its own metric feet.
The mood is weakened by the roughness of the poem's flow.
Could be improved with more attention to rhythm.
