DARK SHADOWS

Shadows whispering
Hidden from view,
Obscuring images
I might see thru.

Blackened corners
Reveal no light,
Unknown visions
Fill my sight.

What can there be
In darkened gloom?
For evil spirits
In my mind now loom.

Silent cries
From souls bound tight,
Escape the revealing
Rays of light.

Distorted figures
Just beyond my view,
Whispering promises
That are not true.

They try to lead me
To the other side,
To join in the darkness
In which they hide.

Yes, evil things
Hide from sight,
For dark shadows rule
Your mind at night…BWL
