How did this dragon wind find me
Was it you or a distant dream
that I hold behind locked doors

As I stand back from the outside world
and listen for an old melody
in fields where heather grows

Am I feeling grey skies weeping
on dripping brown leaves beside
your castle door

Could this still be
your dark hallways whispering
Calling me back to the depths
of your darkened heart

Your voice has traveled far
my love
I see time has not erased
your existence

Nor your adolescent dreams
of fairy-tale kisses
and chasing the richness
of wanton blue velvet
