(This is one of my earliest poems. Not sure how many will like it, but I thought I’d submit it anyway)
She’s dressed all
In midnight black
A silver bat adorns
Her long, slender neck
A long leather coat is
Worn casually open
Dyed blonde hair,
Tossed carelessly back.
A smile flashes,
Moonlight glints off
Unnaturally sharp teeth.
Steel grey eyes pierce deep,
To your very soul.
Who, or what, is this
Unearthly beautiful creature?
Is she human? Or is she more?
You tremble as she
Walks straight toward you
Those eyes look you
Up, and then down.
A melodious voice
Murmurs a greeting
Delight fills you and
You yearn for more.
Long, tapered fingers reach
They caress your cheek,
Her body calls insistently
Yours answers eagerly
Caution is forgotten as she
Leads you deep into the night
Friends and family left behind
Replaced by a black encased dream.
Smooth, cool skin
Beneath your questing fingers
Soft lips molding to
Your demanding ones
Whispered, empty promises,
Then- sharp teeth sinking deep
You cry out in pain.
Your weakness gives her strength
Dark Vampiress
Herenow, taking life
Gone too soon, hunting.
Next victims, beware this
Beautiful, ethereal
Ebony-clad, pale vixen
For she is searching, searching
For her next victim.
