The sun shines brightly,
Yet she feels no warmth,
Darkness engulfs her,
And settles about her heart,
She sits and stares,
Feeling as though, she’s not really there,
Someone speaks and she smiles replying,
When they turn and walk away,
The darkness returns,
She becomes distant…
Not really there,
When really,
She feels trapped within her mind,
Not knowing how to become free,
The question is,
If she knew… would she try?

Delicate!

Elegant and beautiful in a simple direct way. A wonderful

poetic bouquet!! Enjoyable!

~~

Just a suggestion

It would read even better without ellipses

And perhaps, split that last line into two separate lines.

Just a thought.
