Dark, darkness everywhere
Caressing my skin,
Stroking my hair.

It covers me like a lover,
desperate, needy,
desperate to discover.

It’s way too much,
not enough,
craving a hard touch.

It’s coy and it’s slick,
velvet feel,
silken kisses and licks.

The smell of illicit things,
linger in my mind,
and arousal it brings.

I’m covered in thought,
my body clearly
overwrought.

Then release hazes my mind,
leaving me and the darkness
intertwined.

What is it inside of us
that relishes the dark?
