Darkness, darkness, my old friend,
You never strayed, until the end.
Always there, to fill my heart,
to bring me down, tear me apart.

I tried to keep you locked away,
but then I let you out to play.
The choice I made, to help a friend.
my only hope, her pain to end.

It took some time to reign you in.
Repair the pain, from where you'd been.
Once again, you're locked away.
knowing you'll get out one day.

New allies now, have joined the fight,
to save me from eternal night.
More ready for your next attack,
close friends I know, will have my back.
