Gently waves of pink and purple fill the horizon
The clouds become filled with the colors of the rainbow
A slow golden shine comes from the mountain top
As green eyes turn to seek the morning sun.
Salt air floats swiftly from the west, cold and sharp
Eagerly racing to met the emerging day
Slowly massive wings unfold, shimmering in the rays
Catching the wind beneath them and gliding over the land
A swift flying shadow on the trees below.
The warmth of the morning sun washing away the dew
Soaking deep into the cooled scales and bones
The wind rushes over his wings and into his nostrils
As he raises his head and roars a mighty greeting to the dawning sun.
