How sweet and soothing is the sound
The bow pulled across taunt strings
The muscial notes that fill the air
as old melodies resound and sings

The vision of old, now unfold
as my inner child emerges with glee
To shine in the every momental sound
and clap the hands happily

My eyes behold a time long past
Uncle Leonard's fiddle chirping merrily
The glow of the fire peeking from vents
to sing along from song to song cheerfully

It's warmth of closeness as the tempo
the amount of movement, the motion quicken
*Pling* The finger strokes the top string
As if that was the way it's played, the sounds do thicken

The musician plays so delightfully
for all of Us to hear being so near
But it was Dear Uncle Leonard
so made the music to me so dear
