straight-laced razor
sings lullabies
to a satin-draped stiletto
dyed red wine

taste a drop
as it ponders and falls
quiet noise that breaks the silence
of a pool of water

shimmer black
twined in peace
shatter war daydreams
of tomorrow

sweet sorrow
melancholy nightmares
of what might have been
will never be again

staccato kiss offers goodbyes

A surrealist painting put to words that let the reader create his own painting.

There's heat here

Are you sure this is non-erotic. It feels hot to me. ;) I like this and the title complements this poem. Thank you.

I'm glad you titled this daydream. It does have a surreal quality. At first, I was trying to understand the poem, but the title is telling me to just enjoy the words, which are placed quite nicely together.
