Dear Past
I would like to tell you
Go bury yourself
You tell me
I'll never amount to anything
You tell me
I'll never be good enough
You tell me
I'm worthless
I would like to tell you
I've proved you wrong
So during our next encounter
When I feel broken beyond repair
And I'm gasping for air
And the tears won't stop
I'm going to stomp on the the ground
Where you are buried

Do it!

Stomp it, Storm. Maybe I'm a lot shallower than I think, but seems to me that the past is not necessarily the predictor of the future. Amazing how we can, and luck can, and life can change!
