December mornings in Barranquilla
Tears stream down her cheeks
Walking along streets with color
Fingers locked loving tight

The world spins and spirals
Birds shake to the ground
Fenders wrap around sign posts
Echoes sound in the hollows

Dozers rouse with damp backs
Leg thrown over covers to breathe
Her hair clings to his face
He doesn't bother with moving

In an infinite universe all things occur
The world will be torn apart for us
And you and I will be pasted together

What is global destruction compared to love?
