The sea above
beguiles me.
The ground below
betrays my trust.
The ocean too is
impermanent.
The North Wind
ne'er august.

The flying seagull
nowhere bound.
The crawling crab
somewhere at rest.
The ebb and flow
directionless.
And I, myself,
aware at best.
