To look beyond the here and now,
ask what the future brings,
would make deciding easier
giving back these wedding rings.
I used to believe so deeply
in those sacred marriage vows,
but now I long for adventures
that this bond will not allow.
My doubts turn to realities,
I now know which path to choose.
Yet can I turn and walk away -
so much at risk, so much to lose?
And can I face the pain I'll cause
this man who shares my life,
who has absolutely no idea
that he's about to lose his wife?
