lion
dark watering hole
pauses to watch his reflection inside
he longs to take it back,
that which he created
ferocious, hungry
the hole grows deeper
as he drinks, pool grows fuller
fed by an endless spring
of flowing desire
head twists and digs in
deeper to the source
pushing open wider, wider
tendons quiver and stretch
padded paws
knead flesh
offer support
I beg
you growl
claws extend
and retract
reminding me who is
king of this jungle
