DEMAND AND SUPPLY
Those matters of demand and of supply,
As usual again they will apply,
This is only a question of logistics,
And it's not meant to mystify the mystics.
Dreaming is good: organic human need,
So are some others not so well defined,
"There was enough for need but not for greed,"
Gandhi was right, but he's left behind.
Those times of starvation will return,
As poetry's legitimate concern,
But more as a concern of needy nations,
Forced to accept unfair acculturations.
A question of demand and of supply,
To poet and to immigrant alike,
Proclaiming: either conform or die,
Stick to your old, or have a brand new psych.
