Each time we part a piece of me dies

The train pulled up tonight and I loathed it
For it was the vessel which would take you from me

I watched until I could take it no more
My heart was broken

But

Not my spirit.

You have taught me to be brave
To look forward to the future instead of dwelling on the pain

Your love has brought me to heights never before imagined
Your tears have made me feel love never before felt

Each time I look once more upon your face, I breathe again
And the promise of infinite love renews me.
