Beloved face, care-streaked and weary
With burden and mourning, twists of the knife
Struggling to bear,
     Bearing up
     Bearing down
     Baring her soul
     Bearing all
Eyes darkened, candles flicker in twilight
Dusk settling within once-happy soul
Worn down, worn out, weary of trials
Zarathustra's camel, too stubborn to fail
Incapable of rest
     Restoration
     Repetition
     Respite
Burned by thirsty sands, no oasis in sight
Grit of a thousand needs and demands
Encloud her, choking, bearing down
Beloved face, care-streaked and weary
Refusing surrender, borne forth, borne up
Into the arms of my loving embrace
