The desire of love is what I seek
The strong type and not so meek
A love that will drive loneliness from my life
Not a man that simply wants me for a wife

I want you more than life itself
Not just anybody but You all to myself
A love that will be a two way street
One that makes me dance and my heart beat.

A lover that has the capacity to listen and speak
Not to simply respond because the relationship is weak
A solid love filled with much strength
The type that will go the distance in great length

Can I get a witness are words I wouldn’t utter
Perhaps someday when my mind is cleared with the clutter
The thought has traveled within my mind many times
I am human and have fallen with this concept sometimes

However I have learned as the years pass
I am a woman and no longer a lass
So I continue to wish upon the stars
That such a love is truly out there with no bars!
