Destiny calls
To whom do I answer
My heart ripped out
Brains spilling on the floor
To many questions
Destiny beckons
The tight wire that is life
Rolls and pitches violently
Threatening to dump me
But I trudge forward
Rounding a corner
What do I see
Both ends of the tightrope
Staring at me
Behind, the glow
That is innocence
Ahead, the scythe that is death
Fate laughs
Destiny swears
There is no way out
Only one road to travel
The way is not paved
It is made of loose gravel
I can slip and slide
Fall on my face
No one will help me
I am forever alone
Where will death meet me
Halfway at least
What then
What comes next
Could it be peace?
