Determined

The moment I saw her I knew
Sweet words of love could never do
What a single touch demanded,
Or a look from her commanded,
But, fleet of foot, alas, she flew.

I found her reading birthday cards.
To approach her was very hard,
But I knew this needed tending,
Or my heart would soon need mending
With sad love sonnets from the Bard.

T’was difficult, to say the least
To still my heart, to calm the beast,
Yet, I did, and began to speak
And from her lips a smile did peak,
And joy we shared was soon released.

And I was right what I first thought,
Her touch, she found, was what I sought.
Our lips were warm for the kissing,
Our hands explored, oh, such risking!
Hot flesh delighted, as it ought.

Morning, day, and night one will find
Us bound to love; it’s made us blind.
Of her touch I never wonder,
Or of this spell we both are under,
Her love, my heart, is what I mind.
