When did you last watch your children play?
Do they climb trees, skin knees or pray?
What happened to imagination anyway?
Is it all DVDs, PS2s or the WWW everyday?
Are there ant farms, firefly jars or kites nowadays?
Do they add or divide with out a calculator today?
Where are mud pies, finger paints or modeling clay?

Can you take you sons and daughters away?
Maybe a picnic, to the beach, there are so many ways?
Read a book, tell a joke, dive into a huge pile of hay?
If not now , tomorrow , or someday?
Will you realize and look back in dismay?
Please turn off your TV put your cell-phone away.
Get involved, on the floor, be a kid and oh just play.
