Dive

Droplets of sea water
could not wash away
the thin clingy sand
your soul blew
on mine

Ever wandering
through the caves of my mind
knowing you carry
my air
on your back

Dive in…
There is time still
Let me show you
the world
through my eyes

Wearing a shield
to keep me from the hurts
of the deep, deep water
Yet, you knew my eyes
existed

Legs too tired to swim
Arms heavy
Breath ragged
Because of the beauty
of your depth

Dive in?
Not much time
to show you the true colours
that surround
my harbor

Our waters differ
Yours light and blue
with hidden dangers
Mine green
and uninviting

Yet, you take me down
Magically down
Where nothing matters
except for colour
and shape

Deep waters or shallow
Calm seas or storm
Tide and time
Ebb and flow
Life and death

Now float
for a while
Beautiful One
Let the current take you
where you need to be
