did,
at one
time, enjoy
the safety that comfort
zones provided me whenever
it became necessary to withdraw inside such
and wait out the world until my comfort overflowed,
and I could sail home once more
the wind at my back,
and my heart
swollen
with
hope.
Really enjoyed the quiet contemplative mood of this poem. The yearning is relatable, and the swelling of the lines is an added touch.
As we grow we move from the famous security blanket to the adult version — comfort zones — that place we withdraw to after life's living becomes too much.
And do you no longer? Reading this poem is timely for me. Thus the curiousity about now.
