Do I worship when I touch you,
celebrate the softness beneath my fingertips,
follow your delicate paths with my tongue
in pilgrimage?

Do I kiss holy shrines atop satin peaks,
anointing myself in your fragrant
holy waters as I enter passageways
searching your depths?

Do I desecrate you in ardent need,
bruise your flesh with impassioned embraces?
Do I mark you with fevered bites,
consume you as I collapse in release?

Do I worship your flesh
with my body prayer, or merely
appease my guilt with each word
I zealously whisper?
