I know that somewhere,
in this deep, dark night,
you are out there.
I know that wherever you may be,
you are under the same black sky,
you see the same silver moon,
and that there are stars above you,
the same as they are above me.

I ask myself questions,
about you,
and have to wonder,
at the answers.

Do you revel in the heavy darkness,
which is the night?
Does it invigorate you?
Does it make you feel free?
Do you find your eyes drawn,
again and again,
to stare unseeing
at the beauty of the stars?
Do you catch sight
of the silver orb, the moon,
and find yourself entranced,
hypnotized,
your gaze ensnared,
by its silvery glow?

Yes,
I know you're out there somewhere,
and I know you see the night,
you see the moon,
you see the stars, and
you see the black sky.
But I wonder,
and so I have to ask.
Do you feel the magic?
Do you love the night?
