Across the room, our eyes meet,
Time stops, we almost hold our breath.

We start toward each other.
Without conscious thought.

 Your eyes never leave mine.
We forget the others in the room.

As we meet, our faces flush
Our skin is afire, palms sweating.

Hesitantly, we reach for each other,
Barely touching the others hand.

You lead me to the center of the room.
Pulling me close, we begin to sway.

Even as we blend into the crowd,
It is as if we are alone dancing.

At last I can sigh, I am in your arms.
My head rests on your chest, my eyes closed.

After what seems like hours, you release me.
Taking my hand, you lead me away.

With a smile you take me upstairs.
Into a prepared room, locking the door behind you.

Standing against the door, you simply stare.
We share a smile and look of longing.

You beckon me to you, into your arms.
Finally your lips brush mine, your hands in my hair.

We begin the dance, that sweet dance.
The dance only known to true lovers.

Hours and hours later, dawn breaks.
We lay together content and finally sleep.

Oh how I love you, my One.
Do you know? You must know.
