I am not earthbound;
I am free.
The laws of the ground
don’t pull me.
I choose to chase flight:
step, paw, alight.

The disk sputters round
Focus sharp, see.
I track until found --
it, me, we.

Together come down,
join to ground
Its spin now my sound,
sky unwound.

Joined suddenly we
momentarily.
It again flung free
before me.

setting free on the beach

How could I have missed this one? (and illustrated poetry is my favorite genre!). A joyous poem; uplifting photo; a great combo. Make more like this.

magical

and I'm a cat person. tee hee. Astonishing detail, feeling, togetherness, union, abandon. Love it.

Nice work

The photo and poem compliment each other nicely on a few levels, two of which are the content of each and the feeling of freedom. Thanks, enjoyed

Lovely!

This photo and your poem work perfectly together to convey the joy and freedom of a day at the beach with one dog + one frisbee. :-)

Your poem has been recommended in the new poems review on the Poetry Feedback and Discussion forum. Thanks for the read.

Peace,

Angeline
