If I told you how I felt about you
Told you how you made me smile
Confessed the way my heart fluttered
At the very mention of your name
If I gathered up my courage
To give you my heart
Whispering to you that I forgot my past
When you were near me
If I poured out my soul to you
Bared even my brokenness
Admitting even with fresh wounds
That I could see a future with you
If I did all this
And you played with my heart
Like it was a puzzle
Meant to be taken apart and put back together again
If you led me to believe you felt the same way
When you lied like it was second nature
Then you started to withdraw
To the arms of another
Then what makes you think
That it's acceptable for you to come to me
When your heart gets broken
Expecting me to care
When you took what was left of me
And stomped on it
Like I never mattered
Not caring how you mangled my heart
Don't come running back to me
When you hit rock bottom
Because there's nothing left to come back to
You killed all the good in me
