If you loved me
you didn’t say it
you just made love to me in your dreams
and passed them to mine
in the depths of the night.

If you wanted me
you never spoke it
You just kissed me
from a thousand miles away
and made me shudder.

If you craved me
You hid it
but secretly caressed
the yearnings of my inner thighs
when I was sleeping.

If you loved me
You wronged me
with your silence.
In trying to forget
you doubled the pain

If you need me
I will be here
But I won’t be waiting
like you want me to be always--
Wasting away in your love.

If you forget me
I will know it.
So, please do
And it will be easier
for me and you.

But please...
Don't complain
that I didn't try.
I tried.
But you, my dear, didn't.
