Don’t Leave

I lie in my bed, naked, like an offering to a god,
My legs spread, my arms at my side,
The heat of the night is palpable,
Beads of sweat rise and trickle down my forehead
Down my face like in a river of tears…
They form on my breasts, untouched, untouched…
My eyes are open, looking up at the ceiling
Wanting to see your face in the moonlit room.

I begin my nightly plea to you…
Come back, lie with me, touch me…
Touch my cheek and wipe away the tears.
Touch my breasts and bring them to life again.
Run your soft, strong hand down my stomach.
Feel every curve, every imperfection…
And love me again.

Lie next to me and whisper in my ear
That you love me and will never leave.
Let me touch your dark, soft skin
And trace a path to your hardness;
Let me feel your strength in my hands again,
Let me take you in my mouth, in my heart
And in my soul, and feel your life again.

Rise up over me and look in my loving eyes;
Feel the heat coming from beneath.
Touch me, taste me, smell me, take me.
Move in me like the ocean tides
Ebbing and flowing and pounding
Like the surf against the wet sand,
Retracting only to return again.

Give me your life source
And scream my name
As I scream for you in the night.
Fall on my heaving breasts
And kiss my lips.
Tell me you will stay this time.
Don’t go into the night;
Don’t leave me;
Don’t die.
