Click hereSarah, don't move. Let me take
your picture with my eye. Wrapped
in that paisley shawl, your hair
still medusa-wild from the wind
in the parking lot. Smile,
show me that stray dimple
in your left cheek that you say
you got from falling down
a flight of stairs when
you were five. Just for a moment,
don't say anything. Too many
hard words have built
a mountain between us. I
didn't dream that I'd
never see you again.

The ending of a poem is the bit that gives me the most trouble.
I really like this.
Extremely poignant and the full burden only becomes clear in the last verse.
I have one minor quibble. I think that “I didn't dream that I'd never see you again” is awkward wording – though the meaning is clear.
both are in nice Poems , Jaycee ...4 stars
