I dream the dream
of fairy tales -
of happily evermore.
Moon lit nights
and rainy days
and walks along the shore.
I dream the dream
of true love found
(not some passing fling)
Someone to share
my hopes, my dreams -
summer through to spring.
I dream the dream
It seems so real
'til another day awakes.
I see a chance
to live the dream,
but can I afford the stakes?
