Dreamcake
By Russel Trust
Dreamcake
I called her dreamcake
After a line on an episode
Of this sci-fi show we would watch after we’d fuck.
We had an easy rhythm
Screw like wild
Then watch Dexter’s Lab cuddled in bed
(Or Lex on Saturdays)
And fall asleep around one.
It was springtime
And she was brunette
And I think if I died
And then opened up my eyes
To find myself back in her dormroom
I would know I had ended up in heaven.
