Dreams

byLeopoldNicholas©

In the world of paranoia
The king is confused
Surrounded by riddles
Answers without questions
The guillotine hovers
To extinguish dreams

From out of the shadows
Past mirrors reflections
Darkness comes calling
Creeping from corners
Wielding the sabre
Finishing dreams

Stepping so gently
Walking on tin-tacks
Bleeding I hesitate
Feeling the sharpness
Sabotaged dreams

Slowly the wheel turns
Spinning me inwards
Back to the needle
Pricking so gently
Yesterdays dreams

Wake me and stroke me
Kiss me to reality
Dont leave me dangling
Above this ravine
Neurotic dreams

Touch my hand gently
Caressing my ego
Shooting me back
To where I belong
Happier dreams
