Bones of jealousy fleshed with paranoia, I,
of self-deluded grandeur and mutated ego,
asphyxiate submerged 'neath the weight of social dystopia;
swept up in the seething sands of an eternity devoid of compassion--
a universe
gagging on mischievous indulgence.
Caution! Drink softly from the pool of life
for existence and pleasure, too, can be as toxins within our veins.
Naught save that left in the wake of the destructive winds of change
can hold such beauty as the metamorphosis for which men lust:
transformation, the power of God, sought so greedily by sentient minds.
Mortals can't achieve its true power while trapped within the grasp of time
so they settle for what microscopic changes they can affect:
perversion, mutilation, deceit, evolution...
all tools passed to men by ancient decaying evils
in a blood rite to spawn infinite generations of sin.
