Picked off from the herd unaware
I never sensed my enemy.
The chase was swift; you tumbled me with one swipe.
Easy prey, I went down without a fight.
Helpless, bleeding, shallowly breathing
pleas to please be merciful
not rip me limb from limb, still conscious.
Perfect predator, by the time I felt your teeth
the thing was done.

IF A PREY COULD THINK AND TELL

this is what they could say, and I believe they have an extra sense to be aware of their fate, TK U MLJ LV NV

Liked this - the sounds build up even in ways that I would not expect to work (pleas, please - you somehow make that work). I think the title choice is interesting - Easy prey rather than Perfect Predator..or something else.
