the giver is a part
of the givee's universe

depending on the sunday
the universe is either greedy or stupid

in the giver's mind
he just has treated the givee
to a nice dinner

in the givee's mind
he just has scored another victory
against the universe
he has wrestled his dinner from the universe's greedy jaws

the givee is generous too
he advises the giver--
leave the waiter a double tip

he says the money you gave me the other day
I have sent to a sick friend of mine

the easy sunday is over
it's back to the daily hassles
