A moment, a thought
to pause the staired
descent to faded water.
Footsteps linger – pall
on spalled concrete
as horizon lines blur
into silhouette.
A murmured prayer
then ripples to gray,
to cool, wet silence.

I liked this very much. There is a strong sense of movement in every line except "into silhouette'; and while I am far from an expert on meter it seems to me the stop there is exactly where it belongs.
