So long has passed without you and yet still the storm surrounds me,
I'm haunted by my darkened mind which leaves the night askew,
And absences deceive, so I prematurely grieve,
And I fear I cannot breathe because the air I need is you.

I see us now, like gossamer, drifting on the pavements,
And you are decorated with your ever lovely themes.
We'll get through this endeavor and be chained, at will, together,
But until we find forever, I'm still aching in my dreams.

I wish that I could hold you just to procure redemption,
And I yearn to steal a kiss that was once so free to take.
Though I try my hand at rescue, still your face falls out of view,
And until I can obtain you, my bones must, unduly, shake.

But you are still breathing far along the dusty landscape,
And the days are moving slowly, but I know they will retreat,
Because after those 8 hours we can gain back what is ours,
And lie static in the flowers that once withered at my feet.
