he leaned on the bar, drinking with friends.
i eyed him with impure interest.
squirming close i made flirty banter.
olive skin, swept back hair, shining eyes,
lips shaped by the pen of a poet –
i craved his touch and let him know it.
outside, i made his slim body quake,
coaxing his rich balm into my ache.
he said that i was his first 'white girl'
and i promised i would always be
his lover, his eager cocksucker,
and i died within his soft chuckle.
but he was from a different world,
and his thoughts were of another girl,
"Que lejos estoy," said my brown boy,
his parting words, "Que lejos estoy."
