Perhaps ECT might make me forget.
Your memory stays, I remain in pain.
No solution found, I take another drink.

My head hurts too much to think, so I drink.
Our past a regret, a shock not forget.
Shake, twitch, hangover hurts, won't hide my pain.

Counseling, prayer did not ease my pain.
Drugs remind me of her – I need that drink.
My jolted brain circuits won't let me forget.

To help forget my heart's pain I must drink.
