Emancipation~

My world
revolves
around the dark I crave
and the
void
within where a light
once fiercely
burned

My fear
I
despise as it's rage
devours and
compells
me to pop the
pill that
balances
my insanity and restores
the equilibrium

My love
I
reserve for the one
who soothes
with
a raft of seductive words that
inspire me
to
seek out the light and
rekindle the
passion
to live.

nice to see you submitting, butterfly

read this a few times through to get a better feel for it; what stands out to me are the lines:

My world

revolves

My fear

I despise

My love

I reserve

for the one who soothes

with a raft of seductive words

that's not to say the rest shouldn't be there, but these are the words that linger for me as a reader. :) it would benefit from some trimming, to be frank, but you have that whole light and dark thing going on all tied together with your title.
