If you’re ever south of Hollywood
If you ever have the chance
If you’re ever in Redondo Beach
You must see Emily dance

Maybe she’s a siren
Maybe she’s a muse
Maybe she’s an angel
When she dances to the Blues

As limber as a puppy dog
As lightly as a feather
She sways with arms above her head
She clasps her wrists together

Delicate as a mourning dove
As graceful as a swan
Dangerous as a stormy night
As precious as the dawn

How would you feel when Emily smiles
Are you charmed or is it lust
How many dragons would you slay
For the chance to earn her trust

How would you feel if she looked your way
How much do you have to lose
If Emily were to beckon and say
Come and dance away your blues

Tell me what you think you’d do
If you ever had the chance
If you’re ever south of Hollywood
You must see Emily dance
