she opens her heart
she wants to give
but the emptiness inside
has its own objective
stumbling around
it is like a blindness
she cannot figure out
what is amiss
she just keeps walking
throughout days and nights
thinking that eventually
everything with be alright
but she cannot give
what she does not have
deep down she knows she needs it
like a healing salve
its the little things in her
that she often neglects
the busyness of her thoughts
they leave her quite a wreck
