That it would be alright;
That you would stay right here with me
And hold me through each night.
But that was - oh, so long ago,
And I believed you then.
You see, I never really thought I'd be alone again.

I trusted you.
Believed you meant each word you ever said;
You made me feel that I alone could fill your emptiness.

You lied to me.
I could not see that it would come to this;
Now all I have are memories of your love, your touch, your kiss...
