On the blackened, chilly wings of night

Self made strangers lie still

Rediscovering their morning light

In the strange, dark room; their haven

Soft eyes and loving embraces

The pillow, head floating atop a cloud of raven

Holding close, all is said and done

Tears blossom from barren eyes

For she will never be his one

No answers when she needed more

This painful chapter ends

Now she needs to close the door

Would he blame or forgive if she ran?

No matter what her intentions

Her heart and head always have a different plan
