She despised
it which intervened
tore her harshly from that place
slipping away again

More agonizing than the first

She closed her eyes
willed herself back
wailed silently at her mind
Relax!
so that she might drift
beyond the haze of purgatory
to the space suspended
crystalline and serene

I like

how tightly written this is. It suggests a great deal without being deliberately obscure. Nicely done.
