What does that mean?
With giddy highs and desperate lows
How can I relish the sudden drop?
Hurtling, plummeting
Towards the depths
Heart stopped
Sickening fear
Only to find myself
Catapulted upwards
Climbing, climbing
To face another fall…
So I step off
Add a safety net
Straighten the track
Slow the pace
I join the ‘kiddie’ ride
Round and round
Round and round
Safe, slow, even
On and on
And on…
Fuck that!
I’ll take the roller-coaster
The biggest I can find
The view’s fantastic from the top
And the thrill of teetering
Right on the edge
I hold my breath
When I plunge
Relax, let it take me
I can’t fall forever…
