thank you
for kindly ripping
the staples from my eyelids
they'd been there so long
that the skin had healed over
there was really no way I could have done it myself
it was so dark

i only wish...
that you'd been a bit more careful
and hadn't taken my eyelids along with them
because sometimes
it gets too bright
and all I want to do
is return to the darkness

Brilliant

You really hit the nail on the head with this one! Sometimes it is better to block out most of it.....less pain that way..
